Pastor Damon Dixon Obituary, Death –  Pastor Damon Dixon, 79, died early at Hospice of Hamilton on December 11, 2023, with his loving wife at his side. He was born in Benham, Kentucky, to Benjamin Franklin Dixon and Carrie Dixon Shepherd (née Bush) on January 22, 1944. Damon moved to Ohio after marrying Lillie on September 5, 1964, and graduating from Cumberland High School. Though he moved to Ohio, he loved Kentucky.

He became a Kentucky Colonel after loving the Wildcats. After 38 years at CSX Railroad, Damon left in January 2004. Damon returned to Christ in 1969. The West Side Pentecostal Church appointed him Elder and later Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The Church of God licensed him as a minister, where he performed pastoral duties. Later, the Cleveland, Tennessee, Church of God granted him a Bishop’s License.

Pastor Dixon loved sharing Jesus and advancing the Lord’s ministry. He served in local jail and prison ministries for 25 years. Damon engaged in missions in India, Haiti, China, Russia, Egypt, Guatemala, and Mexico. In the US, he worked on various missions. Damon requested donations to Haiti’s Destiny Village Children’s Home through Princeton Pike Church of God instead of flowers.

Damon leaves his wife of 59 years, Lillie (née Raleigh) Dixon, her sons Timothy (Diana) and Paul (Rebekah) Dixon, their grandkids Alex, Elly, Gabriel, and Calvin Flynn, their brother Charles (Betty) Dixon, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, Damon’s brother Jack Dixon, sisters Edna Lewis, Evelyn Griffie, and Carolyn Short, and parents Benjamin Franklin Dixon and Carrie (Sibley) Shepherd died.

The Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton Glendale Road, Liberty Township, OH 45011, will have a visitation on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The church will have a funeral at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 15, 2023. Monday, December 18, 2023, at 10:00 AM, Butler County Memorial Park, 4570 Trenton Oxford Road, Hamilton, OH 45011, will host the funeral.
